Young artists will have access to a variety of art supplies to create their own masterpiece\, which they will then mat for display in their home gallery. The rain date is April 18. \n\n\nAttendees can purchase lunch from the Happi Hibachi food truck\, which will be at the park before & during the event. \n\nPainting\, weather permitted\, will begin Saturday\, April 10.

This event is also made possible by the generous support of our corporate sponsor\, Barton Wealth Management. \n\n\nSculpting will take place Wednesday through noon on Saturday\, with teams working day and night to turn blocks of 288 cubic feet of snow into masterful works of art. The winning team will have the opportunity to represent the state at the 2022 U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition in Lake Geneva\, WI. \n\n\nSculptors begin their work on Wednesday\, February 10 and have through noon on Saturday to transform their 288 cubic feet block of snow into a work of art. Then we will join “Portraits” artists Lisa Towers\, Gregory T. Nelson and Angela Ventris in the Falb Gallery for one on one interviews with Kay Schroeder\, Marketing & Engagement Manager. \n\n\n“Portraits of the Pandemic” is an exhibition of self-portraits made during the pandemic by artists in Dubuque and surrounding counties in Iowa\, Wisconsin\, and Illinois. It also aims to examine how the pandemic and the subsequent effects to our social and physical interactions have reshaped our lives. \n\n\n“Portraits” opens October 24\, 2020 and continues through February 7\, 2021 \n\nThis a free event that will require no registration and you will be able to tune in to watch this event LIVE via the DuMA Facebook profile or on our YouTube channel.
